Two Months of Training, Double-Digit Growth: How The Sales Simplified Methods Deliver Results

At a time when many retailers are struggling to adapt, one regional chain in Georgia is proving that the key to growth isn’t just in products or promotions – it’s in people. By investing in their sales teams through our custom Sales Campaign training program, built on Joe Reimels’ Kaizen-based methods, store leadership is seeing measurable results that extend far beyond monthly sales tallies. Staff are developing stronger customer connections, refining their skills, and finding renewed confidence in their work. In turn, customers are receiving a better buying experience that builds trust and long-term loyalty.

Across multiple locations in July and August of 2025, the impact has been striking. At Store 1, the Kaizen-trained team boosted overall sales by 36% in August compared to their six-month average, while also raising their average ticket by 8%. One team member, after embracing the training, more than doubled her average monthly performance—moving from $55,000 in sales to $111,000 in just one month.

The story repeats itself across other stores. At Store 2, Kaizen-trained employees increased sales by 40% while raising their average tickets by 42%, despite closing slightly fewer customer transactions. At Store 3, the Kaizen group grew sales by 28% and tickets by 24%, while their non-trained peers saw declines of 15% in sales and 19% in tickets. At Store 4, Kaizen staff lifted sales by 32% and tickets by 19%, compared to much smaller gains—or even dips—among other staff. These results show how empowering employees with effective tools creates value that benefits both customers and the business.

And it’s important to note: these results come after just two months of workshops and training with staff across the chain. Taken together, the data paints a clear picture: investing in people pays off. On average, Kaizen-trained salespeople are outperforming their non-trained peers by 25–35% in total sales growth, with average ticket sizes climbing 15–20%. These are not one-off wins—they represent sustainable performance gains that strengthen customer relationships and drive long-term success for the stores. By prioritizing staff development, this retailer is proving that the best way to grow a business is to help its people grow first.
